The general index of manuscripts (dated or not) cited in Scriptorium
and in the Bulletin Codicologique contains 263,000 manuscript classification marks. The database contains the indexes published between 1946 and 2008.
The general index of manuscripts available on the site includes the manuscript classification marks such as they appear in Scriptorium
and the Bulletin Codicologique. However, these have been checked, corrected, standardised and extended
to ensure users have a reliable and coherent tool at their disposal.
This index does not claim to provide information regarding the origin or the history of the manuscripts, nor does it provide
the possible update of the classification marks it contains ;
its primary objective is to list and gather all bibliographic citations that have appeared in Scriptorium
or the Bulletin Codicologique relating to the desired manuscripts.

The catalographic index of the works and articles reviewed in the Bulletin Codicologique
currently contains 5,000 bibliographic references from the Bulletin, volumes 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. Our catalogue will eventually provide some 5,000 bibliographic descriptions alongside their respective
reviews, which will be available in PDF format.

a review ", or via the 4th button, " Catalogue and search ", on the horizontal menu at the top of the screen. You can make a separate
search for all the bibliographic elements (author(s), scientific editor(s), title, year and where it was published, editor,
ISBN, etc.) accompanying each review from the Bulletin, or a combined search using a form created ad hoc

A page dedicated to the tables of contents in Scriptorium allows you to access each annual
summary of the journal, from its creation up until today, by clicking on the desired year.
Each annual summary is composed of the author, the title and the first and last pages of each article.
For the content of the articles, consult the printed version of the journal.

The list of towns and archival institutions includes the institutions in whose database
the classification marks of the manuscripts currently figure. This list will therefore be extended
during the encoding process and with the introduction of additional indexes. It currently includes 1,200 towns and
2,500 archival institutions mentioned in Scriptorium and in the Bulletin Codicologique from 1946 to 2008.
Each town appears in its original form and also possibly in French, German and English. The country figures afterwards (between brackets)
and always in French.
